Compatibility

Heavymatica has one jar for Fabric and one for NeoForge, for the same Minecraft version. Both have the same features: the same keys and default bindings, the remote, the wheel, ghosts, layers, comparison, material list, Easy Place, capture, import, paste and the cloud library.

  • Needs Fabric API and no other mod. Without it, Fabric says so before the game starts.
  • The settings open from the gear button in the library, and from Mod Menu when you have it.
  • Changes you make to the settings file while the game runs take effect at the next start.

Use the jar for your loader. A jar for the other loader is not loaded as a mod. Both loaders use the same config/heavymatica-client.toml, so your settings carry over when you switch. See Install and Settings.

Heavymatica runs on your game only. You can join any server with it: servers without Heavymatica, vanilla servers included, and servers that have it. There is no version check. Placements, ghosts, the comparison, Easy Place and the library all work there.

The server still decides what happens in its world. If it refuses a block, for example in a protected area, the world shows what the server says.

With Iris and a shader pack, ghosts, mistake boxes and placement outlines stay visible. They are drawn on top of the shaded world, with the same opacity, layers and comparison as without shaders.

  • The shader pack’s lighting, shadows and fog don’t touch the ghosts, so they look the same by day and by night.
  • Real blocks in front of a ghost still hide it.
  • You can turn the pack on or off or switch packs without a restart. The ghosts stay visible. If a pack fails to load and Iris falls back to normal rendering, the ghosts are drawn as without shaders.

Heavymatica works the same with Iris installed but no pack selected, and without Iris.

With Jade, the Jade tooltip shows the ghost under your crosshair as its planned block, with a Heavymatica line that says its state, such as missing or wrong block. Heavymatica’s own small HUD below the crosshair then stays hidden, so you don’t see the same thing twice. Without Jade, Heavymatica’s HUD shows it.

On Fabric, Mod Menu adds a mods list with a config button for Heavymatica that opens the settings. It is optional: without it, open the settings from the gear button in the library.

Iris, Jade and Mod Menu are all optional. Heavymatica works without any of them.
